A little bit about me...

My mother use to tell me stories of travelling all around the world by herself as a young woman. I was fascinated with her stories of Afghanistan, Iran, Greece, Switzerland and all the trouble she got into. I remember thinking, "when I grow up, that's what I want to do. I want to have my own stories." I didn't know when or where - I just knew I was going.

In July 2016, I left my hometown of Hamilton, Ontario with a broken heart and a one-way ticket to Thailand. I had never travelled on my own and I had never been to South East Asia. Since then, I've journeyed through Africa, Europe, Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Friends and family have always asked me "How do you plan and budget for such big trips? How do you afford to do it all?" In this blog I hope to show how to be your own travel agent, and how anyone can budget and plan for the adventure of a lifetime.

Follow along as I share travel tips and stories from the last two years as well as new adventures.
